My 2nd scarf

This one is for my sister who's birthday is January 19th. It will be a surprise for her.

My first scarf...

This is my first scarf using the rectangle loom. Love the finished look. It did turn out a little thick but will be really warm. Love the thread I chose. It is Lion Brand Yarn, color Charlotte Blue, super bulky #6, and it took 2 skeens. I wanted it long. I don't know the name of the stitch for I am new at this.

Knitting

I have been teaching myself (using youtube) to knit. I have loved doing it. I have made a baby hat, a childs hat, and a little over half way making a scarf. I will post pictures later.

January 18, 2009

Tonight the kids and I decided to go to one of my friends churches. We really enjoyed it and the kids have decided they want to go back there. I want my kids to grow up know God and knowing they can turn to him for anything. I, myself felt really blessed when leaving.
Many times I have been discouraged with myself. I let the devil come in and tell me not to go to church. I am very easily convienced to just stay home. I want to go to a church that my kids also enjoy. A church where my kids understand what the preacher is saying. I would drive many miles to find the church that they enjoy.
I pray tonight that God renews my spirit. That he will turn his people into the right direction. I pray that God blesses each and everyone tonight. I pray that he especially be with the homeless on this cold Winter night!

I am not the best with words. I do try! I am a soft hearted person who loves to be with famiy and friends. I am a mother, wife, worker, and I am going to school. I hope to one day better myself. I am a believer in Jesus Christ and hope one day to live better for him. I struggle with this daily as I know everyone else does.
I enjoy hobbies such as scrapbooking, cross stitching, and outdoors (when it is warm). I would love to learn how to knit.
